the studio
Part of the success of the studio is that designers are given the ability and time to develop their talents whilst also building an understanding of commerciality and the Marks and Spencer consumer.
Unlike many competitors, the studio doesn’t allow creativity to play second fiddle to productivity and it’s this design-led philosophy that makes Tigerprint and our products unique.
designer profiles
Diversity is what we believe helps us Tigerprinters push the boundaries of what we design.
We have an outstanding design team who all have very different backgrounds. Not everyone starts out as a card, wrap or stationery designer.
All are welcome, from transport to graphic designers, product to surface pattern designers, and packaging designers to illustrators to name but a few.
colleges & universities
Over the past 10 years, Tigerprint has been working with a wide number of art and design colleges & universities across the UK.
They run projects with the colleges which usually last between four and six weeks.
There is an initial presentation to the students about the business and then a design brief is set.
At the end of the project the design team return for a critique and award a prize to the student who has answered the brief best.
placement info
A placement generally lasts for 2 weeks, however for some of our award-winners it will be a month.
Typically on placement people will be set a brief based on the skills and strengths of their portfolio or directly from a winning collection/student project.
