I decided to walk the distance from London's Kings Cross to my destination in Islington and I'm glad I did. It was a beautiful sunny day and I spotted a couple of places along my route of Pentonville road.
The first is The Fara Workshop, the space was part shop selling clothing, prints and accessories and the second section was a workshop with several sewing machines.
On my return I checked out their website and the clothing in the store are all one off designs that are created on site by a team of designers and makers. Their mission goes further and talks of engaging with the community to teach new skills an educate people. They also use fabric donated to their FARA charity shops to make sustainable products.
It sounds like a great collective to me.
