Our designs win awards – and that’s official!

As well as being bestsellers, our products have won fantastic awards and it’s something Tigerprint like to celebrate.

Every year, designs and product ranges are nominated for the ‘Henries’. These prestigious awards, run by The Greeting Card Association and Progressive Greetings magazine, are the industry equivalent of the Oscars. The awards were introduced in 1996, and named after Sir Henry Cole - the man who produced the first commercial Christmas cards over 150 years ago - and they are open to all UK greetings card companies.

There are 15 categories that products can be entered into, with nominations taking place in May. Tigerprint category and design managers decide which of our products should be nominated - we usually aim to enter 3 or 4 categories - and they are then sent off to be judged. All the entries are judged by experts from across the industry, with the awards ceremony taking place in October.

Tigerprint products and designers have celebrated success at the Henries many times - we've won over 10 awards since 2000. The boxed Christmas card category has been our most successful, with four Henries being awarded. The ceremony is a suitably glitzy affair, and is attended by the designers whose products have been nominated, design managers and directors.

Our toys are also award winners, with awards from Timeout's 'Kidsout Good Toy Guide' and the Mother and Baby Awards for our innovative puzzles and products. Toys are entered into the Mother and Baby Awards under different categories, which include age ranges, and learning toys. the entries are submitted in May and short listed in June. Short Listed products are then sent out to the testers - panels of mums and kids - with careful assessment for safety, play and educational value. The winning products are announced at the awards ceremony which takes place in December.

Our innovative use of unusual concepts in puzzles, such as textures and fabrics, electronic sound chips, squeakers and moving components gives learning a new, exciting twist and winning awards shows how much mums love our products.
